Postapocalyptibuggy [part 10]

The ongoing chronicle and my first attempt at posting Work In Progress shots, this is my entry for the Massive Voodoo Mad Max Car Competition. I'll list them all on my Step by Step page, or you can view the current WIP series.

To start out the drying process, I do a couple things to the rear wheel wells. First, cover them in white glue to strengthen the paper, then cover in more putty to be smoothed out later.
I finish off the rest of the chains on the wheels. They really do look great like that. As a finishing touch, I take some fire to them which adds some nice aging with wear and tear.

Turns out that the chrome finish also bubbles and turns gritty when heated. So, I got back over all my chrome spots and add a rusted look.
After a gratuitous amount of solder welding, my Postapocalyptibuggy has a plow!
Wait around and I'll go into detail on welding later. Meanwhile, this is how it looks.
